Glenn Maxwell Wants To Join The RCB Side Ahead of IPL 2021 Auction


The IPL 2021 is going to start on 18th February which is taking place in Chennai. All of the teams will be looking to strengthen their squad by choosing the best and powerful players in the auction. Kings XI Punjab is named as Punjab Kings and they have decided to release the big-hitting Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell.


Glenn Maxwell Want To Join RCB

Maxwell was in horrible form in the 13th IPL edition and he was able to score 108 runs in the 11 innings he played at an average of 15.43 and his strike rate was too low. He was not able to set the stage on fire. As the bowler, he took just 3 wickets in the whole tournament by an average of 56.33 he also gave away runs at an economy rate of 8.05 after that poor return the Punjab Kings let go of the all-rounder ahead of the IPL auction.

Glenn Maxwell Wants To Play For RCB:

After kicked out from Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings) Glenn Maxwell opened up and revealed that he would like to play for RCB in the IPl 2021 tournament. He said Virat Kohli

is the best caption and he gets along with him. Maxwell further opined that he enjoys batting with Kohli, and said that the India skipper has been very helpful for him.

“I get along with Virat pretty well. It’ll be certainly nice to work under Virat and will certainly enjoy batting with him – that’s for sure. It will be awesome to work with him, and he’s always been really helpful to me along the journey. Whenever I’ve caught up with him, he’s been brilliant. So to be able to work with him first hand will be pretty cool,” said Maxwell as reported by India Today.

However, Maxwell has returned back to his old self. In the IDI series against India, He blasted 167 runs at an average of 8350 and a strike rate of 194.19. With Maxwell back to the field it would be interesting to see if the franchises once again show a keen interest in the upcoming IPL auctions.
