    The destructive right-hand opening batsman named Tom Banton is known for his aggressive style of play.  His parents moved from South Africa to the UK, his father was also a cricketer. He stepped into professional cricket when he represented England in ICC U-19 cricket world cup 2018. In the next year, he was roped in by Somerset in all three formats of the game. He was part of the squad that won the Royal London One-Day Cup in 2019. He also smashed a maiden t20 century in Natwest T20 blast. His extraordinary performances at such an early age earned him  PCA Young Player of the Year at the 50th NatWest PCA Awards ceremony.

    His impressive outing with the bat earned him a T20I debut cap against New Zealand in and later the next year he made his ODI debut against South Africa in early 2020. Being early in his career, there are many hopes that he will do some wonders for England. Apart from International cricket, Banton earned a contract for Franchise cricket across the world.
