     The stylish right-hand tall batsman named Aqib Ilyas Sulehri was made it into Oman’s National team in 2015 when he was given the T20I debut cap against Hong Kong. Aqib used to play tennis ball cricket in his hometown Zafarwal later moved to Oman where his family is already settled. His family had a business there, so after completion of documentation work he represented Oman.

    Apart from his hard-hitting abilities, Aqib also bowls off-spin and can bowl Leg breaks too. Aqib Ilyas came into the limelight in season 2018 where he ended up ACC Qualifier tournament as the leading runs scorer. again in 2019, he ended T20 Qualifier as the leading run-scorer for his side. After gaining ODI status, Aqib scored back to back centuries and become the first player to score ODI hundred for Oman. Early in his career, Aqib seems to be a prominent member of Oman’s team.
