Bhanuka Rajapaksa Career
Bhanuka Rajapaksa started his career at Royal College, Colombo. Later he got selected for the U-19 World Cup in 2010 in New Zealand. Besides such a good early cricket career, he got the opportunity of international cricket quite late in 2019. He was the first Sri Lankan U-19 player to have 1000 youth ODI runs. He got banned from all forms of cricket in 2021 for giving media interviews without the permission of Sri Lanka Cricket, which was considered a contract breach.

Bhanuka Rajapaksa Controversy:
When Bhanuka got dropped out of the England 2021 tour for fitness issues, he expressed his disappointment with the selectors in a YouTube interview. To his reply head coach, Mickey Arthur justified the decision that Bhanuka did not meet the fitness standards for international cricket. This lead to a ban imposed on Bhanuka for a year from all forms of cricket by Sri Lanka Cricket.
