Devon Conway is the perfect example of ” when going gets tough, this is when tough gets going”. From being Frustrated due to politics in South African cricket board to become the mainstream batter of New Zealand, Devon surely came a long way. After being disappointed in his homeland, Conway moved to New Zealand at the age of 26 to pursue cricket as a career with the support of him partner Kim Watson. He sold his property, car, belongings etc and started to take a frsh start of life.
In 2018-19 plunkett season, he was added to the Wellington squad and after that he never moves backward. His bat keep flowing runs a match after match and since then he topped last five domestic competitions out of six. Due to his treffic form with the bat, Conway awarded with the domestic player of the year and also added to the national squad. He made his ODI debut against Bangladesh and scored a ton in his third game.
Conway shocked the whole world when he announce his arrival in test cricket. He scored absolute double century on his debut against England on Britian soil.His knock was praised all over the world. it seems that he is the next big thing in world cricket in coming years.
