A product of the Tata Football Academy, he has been affiliated with around a couple of football clubs in India, apart from performing for national team during 2006–2013. One of the precious players of domestic team who had a long-term union, he has performed 71 games scoring six goals for team India. He also performed 2015 Indian Super League period as a member of FC Pune City.
He compete his training from Tata Football Academy and has performed with some of the leading football clubs of the country such as Dempo SC and Churchill Brothers. He is one of the tallest performers from India, which support him a lot in his experienced career too. Gouramangi Singh was first recognized in the spotlight when he was awarded Rush Trophy in 2003. He is a member of the All India Football Federation, footballer also played in the U17 Indian team in the 2002 AFC U-17 Championship, Abu Dhabi and as well U-20 Indian team in the 2004 Asian Youth Championship, Malaysia. Gouramangi was a squad player of Nehru Cup International Football Tournament 2007 defeat Syria in the finals. He performed in the Olympic qualifiers for the Indian U-23 team.

Gouramangi’s importance rise when he skippered the winning Indian team (Under 18) at the Ian Rush Trophy in 2003. He came because the youth establish of All India Football Federation (AIFF), Gouramangi was part of the U-17 Indian team participating in the 2002 AFC U-17 Championship, Dubai. Gouramangi was also part of the U-20 Indian team participation in the 2005 FIFA World Youth Championship, Europe. He performed in the Olympic qualifiers for the Indian U-23 team where his defending permitted India to gain an unbelievable 1–1 draw with the Iraq U-23 team. On 18 April 2006, Gouramangi was astonishingly more to India’s introductory team for the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany, the only uncapped performer to be chosen by senior team manager Syed Nayeemuddin. On 15 May 2006, he was ultimately included to their final 23-man team, being given the number 10 t-shirt. He constructed his debut on 20 June 2006 in the final group stage match against New Zealand, scoring through a punishment in an eventual 1–2 loss. He performed a vital part of the Indian team that achieved the 2007 Nehru Cup. Currently he is assistant coach of I-League 2nd Division side Bengaluru United.
