Gulbadin Naib Full Biography

Bodybuilder turned cricketer Guldabin Naib born in Puli Alam in the Logar province of Afghanistan. Before coming to cricket he was the sole earner from his family and at the same time, he was doing bodybuilding and greatly inspired by Mr. Olympia Arnold. They use to live hands to mouth as his father was unemployed and his mother has some severe disease of hepatitis yet he continued playing cricket and after getting a central contract in 2011 he was able to fulfill the needs of his family.

He made his debut for Afghanistan against Japan in the 2008 World Cricket League Division Five but dropped due to poor performances. He again makes a comeback in Afghanistan in the major event of the ICC T20 world cup 2012, in a match against England, he scored 44 and was the only batsman to enter double figures. his inconsistent performances kept him in and out of the team. In April 2019, just two months before the ICC World Cup Afghanistan cricket board removed Asghar Afghan and appointed Gulbadin the new captain of the side.
