Hardus Viljoen is a South African cricketer, who was born on 6th March 1985. He is also known as GC Viljoen. He is from WItbank. He played for Lions in Domestic cricket, he even made his Test Debut against England in 2016. He was replacement of Kyle Abott. He took the wicket of Alastiar Cook with his very first bowl in the Test Cricket. He is 20th player to have this record in his name.
Viljoen joined Kent County Cricket Club in 2016. He played four matches for Kent, he made County Championship debut against Gloucestershire. He took 5 wickets in the First Day itself. He was signed by Derbyshire on a 3 year Kolpak contract. But his contract was terminated by the mutual consent, when he signed a contract for Kent to play in 2019 T20 Blast. He even played for Kings XI Punjab in 2019. He played for the Paarl Rocks in 2019 Mzansi Super League. He married Rhemi Rynners, who is the sister of Faf du Plessis.
