India has become the first team to qualify for the final of the Asian Games 2023 men’s cricket tournament in Hangzhou, China. We defeated Bangladesh by 9 wickets in the semi-final on Thursday, October 6, 2023.
India won the toss and elected to field first. Bangladesh were for 96/9 in 20 overs, with Indian bowlers Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore and Washington Sundar taking 3 and 2 wickets respectively.
India chased down the target in just 9.2 overs, with Tilak Verma scoring unbeaten half-centuries. Tilak scored 55 runs off 26 balls, while Ruturaj Gaikwad scored 40 runs off 26 balls. India will now face the winner of the second semi-final between Pakistan and Afganistan in the final on Friday, October 7, 2023.
