The Somerset-born handy left-arm spinner with the capabilities to bat also, named Jack Leach is the perfect example of “when the gets going is tough, this is when tough gets going”. The teenage kid t the age of 14 was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease but he doesn’t give up. He had a very hard time when he used to work in a supermarket as a trolley’s parker. He made his county championship debut way back in 2012, but he has to wait six long years to play test cricket for his country.
His bowling heroics against West Indies A, with the figures of 8/110 earned him a Test call-up. Replacing Mason Crane, he made his test debut against Newzealand in Christchurch. In a test match against Ireland, while batting as a night watchman he scored 92 runs to ensure England’s 143 runs victory. He shared a 76 runs partnership with Ben Stokes to ensure England’s victory in the third Ashes test match in 2019 headingly. Leach scored just 1 runs but contributed at the other end greatly.
