He was Born on 2 August 1976 in Trissur, Kerala, India. He started his professional career in 1992 by performing for the State Bank of Travancore. Ancheri performed for several leading football clubs, including Mohun Bagan, JCT Football Club, FC Kochin, and East Bengal. He is a versatile performer who can play in every position, including defenders, defensive midfielders, and strikers. With JCT Mills, he earned the 1996–97 National Football League.

On 14 September 1994, in a 4–2 win, Ancheri made his senior international debut for India against Bangladesh, where he secured a goal.
He was also performed for the Indian team for the Nehru Gold Cup in Calcutta and the under-23 side, who represented in the pre-Olympic tournament. In 1997, He later experienced much by a knee injury for the rest of the season and came back with the colors of FC Kochin.
