The tall right-arm medium pacer Josh Davey opens the batting sometimes for Scotland. His father used to work in the oil industry in Aberdeen, Scotland. He was one of the emerging all-rounders in his early days of cricket. Josh made his county debut for Middlesex at the age of just 19. His performances for Middlesex earned him a spot in Scotland national team.
He made his ODI debut against the Netherlands in 2010, while opening the batting he scored 24 runs and took 1/27. later in his just fourth ODI match against Afghanistan, Davey took 5/9 & that’s the best bowling analysis for Scotland in ODIs at that time. With this, he announced his arrival at the national level. He’s been an integral part of Scotland’s team since then. Davey is the first Scottish cricketer to score fifty-plus and take a five-wicket haul in an ODI match, he achieved this unique feat against Afghanistan.
