Kasun Rajitha started his T20 International career for Sri Lanka against India on 09 February 2016. In this match, he took the wicket of two Indian top-order batsmen in his first over. Later, In March 2018, he was named in Kandy’s squad for the 2017–18 Super Four Provincial Tournament. He was the leading wicket-taker for Kandy during the tournament, with ten dismissals in two matches.
Besides a good cricket career, he made his Test debut against West Indies in In June 2018. His first Test wicket was Kraigg Brathwaite. Finally, in July 2018, he made his ODI debut. And his first ODI wicket was Quinton de Kock.
