    The Queensland-born right-arm leggie named Mitchell Swepson came into the limelight in his debut shield season in 2015-2016. while playing for Queensland, Swepson took 17 scalps in six games which he appeared in and quickly grabbed the attention of selectors. He added in the Australia A following the extraordinary first-class season where he took two four-wicket hauls against Australia and South Africa. Swepson was praised by Australian cricketer Shane Warne.

    Swepson mostly bowls with a flatter trajectory with a loopy leg-spin which aims to deceive batsmen. He made his T20I debut against England in 2018 and since then due to the presence of Nathan Layon and Adam Zampa, he’s unable to play on a regular basis. he’s added to the test squad on several occasions but unable to get a final call to wear honorable Baggy Green.
