Ollie Robinson Full Biography
The kent-born tall right-arm medium pacer has always been in the headline of news either for good reasons or bad reasons since his first-class debut. Robinson made his first-class debut for Sussex on a short-term contract in the 2015 season of the County Championship. In a match against Durham, while batting at 9 Robinson scored a record-breaking century and become the first player to score a hundred on debut in 95 years for Sussex. Robinson ended 2015 the County Championship with 46 wickets at an average of 24.71 and was awarded for the best young player for Sussex.
In 2021, he was added to the squad for the home series against New Zealand. Robinson made his test debut against New Zealand and his maiden wicket was of Tom Latham. On that days his tweets from 2012 suddenly popped up and got viral within no time and thus he landed into the controversy. On his debut day, later he made an apology video over his tweets, and the next day he was exited from the squad and thus banned by ECB after investigation. After his banned, he request ECB to reconsider their decision, and then after some time, his ban took off. He was again added to the squad for the home series against India. In his first game, he took a five-wicket haul.
