Sabbhineni Meghana Biography: Sabbineni Meghana is an Indian cricketer currently playing for railways and India. She is a right-handed batter who has performed for Andhra and the south Zone earlier. She was also part of the victorious team in 2016’s Women’s twenty20 Asia cup and the highest scorer in the 2021-22 women’s senior One Day Trophy with 388 runs that include one century and two half-centuries.
During the inaugural auction for Women’s premier league 2023, she was acquired by Gujarat Giants women for her base price of Rs 30 lakhs.

She joined a cricket camp organized by her school and was the only girl to join the camp. After that, she joined the cricket academy in Vijayawada under her coach Srinivas Reddy. she attended school regularly till 2008, after which she got selected for the state team.
She went on to play for the under-19 Andhra Pradesh team in 2008 and trained under Purnima Rao . she played several other domestic matches. She helped Indian railways to win the BCCI’S under-23 women’s trophy in 2019, along with the senior Women’s ODI trophy in 2021 and the Senior Women’s T20I trophy in 2022.
Internationals
For internationals, she played her debut ODI match on 11th Feb 2022 against New Zealand and scored four runs, followed by 61 runs against New Zealand on 18th February.
She was afterward selected as a standby player for the Indian team in the 2022 World Cup held in New Zealand.
On her first T20I match against west indies, she scored 17 runs, followed by 69 runs against the Maldives, making her a part of the team that won the Asia Cup in 2022.
She won a silver medal in 2022 at Commonwealth Games held in Birmingham for her performance.
