Shabbir Ali is an Indian football manager and former performer. He was born in 26 January 1956 in Hyderabad, Hyderabad State, India. Shabbir was also awarded the Dhyan Chand Award in 2011, the highest award in Indian sports for lifetime success, given by precidnet. He is the first footballer to be nominated for the Dhyan Chand Award.
He started his football journey from Abbas Union FC, Darushifa, Hyderabad, a club where he is currently the president.

Shabbir Ali spent lot of time of his childhood days in Hyderabad. He was from a ‘non-sports’ background and thus first his dreams of being a footballer were not supported by his family. He started his football journey from Abbas Union FC, Darushifa, Hyderabad, a club where he is at present the president.
His club debut came when he was only Ten years old then representing his school teams, Aliya High School (1967-68) as well as City High School (1969), in Subroto Cup which is India’s most important inter school football tournament.
In 1974, he skippered Indian team in the Asian youth u19 cup. His Five goals in the tournament (out of 9 from Indian team), contributed India to appear as the joint winners along with Iran.
