Sohail Tanvir Full Biography
A young kid grew up playing tennis ball cricket in the streets of Rawalpindi with unorthodox bowling action Sohail Tanvir was given chance to replace Shoaib Akhtar in T20 WC 2007.He was known as a medium-pacer with some hard-hitting capabilities. He took 6 wickets in 6 matches and faced only one ball in the entire tournament which went for six.
Being unimpressive in the longer format of the game but his all-round performances in T20 earned him a place in the inaugural edition of IPL in 2008. Playing for Rajasthan Royals he took the highest number of wickets and awarded with ‘purple cap’. Since the start of his career, he always engaged with injuries. His injuries won’t let him play the ICC WC 2011.
His unorthodox bowling action with extraordinary variation, Sohail Tanvir quite famous in the different T20 leagues around the world. His injuries limited his career otherwise he can serve his country at various levels.
