Yash Dhull began his cricket career after his mother spotted a cricket spark in him.
At the age of 4, Yash’s mother stained him doing shadow-practicing on the street without a bat, after that which she enrolled him in a cricket academy.
He completed his study at a local academy at Bharati College at a tender age before moving to Bal Bhawan school’s academy.
He started with right-handed middle-order batter, got into Bal Bhawan school’s academy at the tender age of 11, and developed his skills from there.
11-year-old Yash Dhull, in the Under-16 Rajesh Peter Memorial Tournament, secured an unforgotten 40 not out where he obtained his first cash prize of Rs. 500.
After one year, when he was 12 years old, he had represented the Delhi team in Under 14 matches.
In Janakpuri, He joined the Airliner Cricket Academy.
Yash Dhull secured an unbeaten 186 against Punjab in the Under-16 Vijay Merchant Trophy, promoted as side captain.
Under his captaincy, Delhi reached the knockouts after 8-years. But there was a setback when the covid-19 pandemic struck just days before touring to the National Cricket Academy.
At 19, Yash was the leading run-getter in the Vinoo Mankad Trophy 2021 tournament. He averaged 75.50 for his 302 runs for the DDCA in the 5-matches the team performed in the game.

He was selected in a 20-member squad for the 2021 U19 Asia Cup, where he was named the side’s captain. On December 19, 2021, a U19 World Cup team was announced, and he was again named the captain. On this occasion, he cut a round cake shaped like a cricket field at the Bal Bhavan International School’s academy ground in Dwarka(City in Gujarat) polished his skills.

Yash Dhull started playing cricket at the age of 6 when his mother saw the spark in him when he was doing shadow practice without the bat. It so ensued that Yash saw boys older than him performing cricket. He also encouraged them to join them, but they refused. His mother was observing the entire scene from the balcony. Then she decided to take him to a Bal Bhawan cricket academy and enroll him there. From thereon, his practice started.

His father(Vijay Dhull) worked as the executive of a cosmetic brand in Delhi, India but had to give up his career to pursue his son’s passion for cricket. During an interview, he said, “I had to ensure he got the best kit and gear to play from an early age. I gave him the best of English willow bats. He didn’t have just one bat, and I kept upgrading them. We had cut down on our expenses. My father was an army man. The pension that he received was used to run the household. Yash would always wonder how we were managing it.”
He was the leading run-scorer in the Vinoo Mankad Trophy in the 2021-22 season held in September-October. where he secured 302 runs for the Delhi Districts & Cricket Association (DDCA) in the five games with an average of 75.50. Besides this, he has experience leading Delhi’s U-16, U-19, and India’ A’ U-19 sides.
In An interview asked Yash about his role model, he replied,
- “Anyone who plays at the international level is good enough to learn from. I follow everyone’s game closely. I don’t copy anybody, but everyone is my hero.”
