The Caribbean on Thursday defeated India by 4 wickets in the first T20I match West Indies is leading by 1-0 in the five-match series. Jason Holder said the 16th over was the turning point of the game and from there the match came very close which helped them win the game. Earlier West Indies set a target of 149 runs for India to chase, India lost their 2 early wickets and couldn’t form a good partnership and couldn’t chase the required target in the remaining balls and lost the match by 4 runs, Tilak Verma who made his debut for India scored the highest, he scored 39 in 22 balls.

“It (16th over) was the turning point based on the fact that the game was coming down very close. They had set batters and we had to stay in the game. The guys really stuck together, it was a total team effort. The conditions played in the favour of the bowlers. We got early wickets, which is really important,” Holder said in the post-match presentation.
