October 21, On Friday a bus carrying Baroda women’s cricketers was concerned in an accident near Visakhapatnam, injuring 4 players and the team manager.
On its way to the airport after the finish of the team’s games in the current India Senior Women’s T20 Trophy, the Women’s team bus was hit by a lorry. The collision occurred on the Thatichetlapalem National Highway, as per reports.
It has been known that the 4 injured players and the team manager were taken to the nearest medical facility. According to a report by women’s Cricket, no one has sustained any serious injuries.

The team experienced Saurashtra at Dr. P.V.G. Raju ACA Sports Complex on October 20, Thursday. The Baroda bowlers did a fine job, constraining the against 117/6 after 20 overs. Dhruvi Patel was the pick of the bowlers, asserting 3 scalps while giving away just 24 runs from her full quota of 4 overs.
They have been chasing Saurashtra’s total with 5 balls and 7 wickets to spare. Captain Yastika Bhatia was the top player with the bat, continuing unbeaten on 64 off 60 deliveries.
Baroda positioned 5th in Group C of India Women’s Senior T20 Trophy 2022
The India Women’s Senior T20 Trophy 2022 started on October 11. A total of 37 participating teams were split into 5 groups. Baroda was positioned in Group C alongside Mumbai, Vidarbha, Bengal, Saurashtra, Chandigarh, and Pondicherry.
The Yastika Bhatia-led side’s campaign was confirmed to be a mixed bag as they managed 3 wins and multiple losses from their 6 games in the group stage.
They completed 5th in their group and were unsuccessful to make it to the knockouts. While they assured a win in their fixtures against Saurashtra, Pondicherry, and Bengal, they experienced losses against Mumbai, Vidarbha, and Chandigarh.

The knockout fixtures, along with the finals of the match, are set to be performed in Bengaluru. The summit clash is expected to take place on November 5.
