Fast bowler Aaron Summers is ready to become the first overseas player to highlight in Pakistan’s national Cup which starts in Karachi (Pakistan) from January 8 and signing up with Southern Punjab.
As per Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) rules, every squad is permitted to have one foreign player who has NOC authorization from the Player’s own country.
Summers is waiting to reach Pakistan on December 28 ahead of a few days training camp at the National High-Performance Centre (NHPC) with former shine star of the team star Azhar Mahmood, before joining up with his team in Karachi on 5 January 2021.
The 24-year-Cricketer, who has set in outstanding performances with the ball for Hobart Hurricanes in the Big Bash League and even he also highlighted in Pakistan Super League 2019 for Karachi Kings. He talks about his excitation to play in a country known for its assembly line of fast bowlers.

Summers states that I am delighted to have been offered a contract by the Southern Punjab Cricket Association.
“Pakistan is a gentility ground for the fast bowlers and while I look forward to preparing as a quality fast bowler, I am equally keen to help my side perform powerfully in the Pakistan One-day Tournament, which will be played on the double-league, And it is true that will test their fitness, form, and consistency against some quality batsmen to the limits.
“I have been following the continuous season on social media and the quality of cricket on display has convinced me that Pakistan is the place where I can hone my abilities and improve as a cricketer. My goal remains to be a top expert and I think Pakistan can help me achieve that target.”

“I am hopeful Aaron’s involution will also attract other foreign cricketers. It will also help our local players interact and integrate with players from other backgrounds and boost their awareness of different cultures,” he added.
