Former Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board Management Committee Najam Sethi took a dig at the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) after reports of another change in the ODI World Cup schedule. The Pakistani Journalist said I suggested to them (BCCI) to keep the World Cup in a neutral Country but they didn’t listen and now they are in Mess.
Context:
Earlier, The India-Pakistan match at Ahmedabad was rescheduled from 15th October to 14th due to security reasons as 15th October happens to be the first day of Navratri which is the main festival in Gujarat and all the other Northern Parts of India.
After Ahmedabad, the Kolkata Administration also requested the BCCI to reschedule the World Cup match between Pakistan and England on November 12 as the date coincides with Kali Puja which is one of the biggest festivals in West Bengal.
Now, the Hyderabad Cricket Association also has requested the (BCCI) to reschedule the matches, New Zealand will play against the Netherlands at Hydrabad on October 9 and the next day i.e. 10th October Hyderabad is supposed to host the match between Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
@BCCI should have taken my advice re @TheRealPCB playing their WC games in a neutral country 🙂 They are now in a mess with schedule tweaks being proposed every few days!
