Besides such a good early cricket career, he got the opportunity of international cricket quite late in 2021. He was most prominent in Sri Lanka’s victory in the first match, with 4 for 36 and 63. He became the seventh player to win the Schoolboy Cricketer of the Year award twice in 2015 and 2016.
