The controversial dismissal of Jonny Bairstow in the second Ashes Test at Lord’s is still one of the most trending topics among the fans, the former players and the Umpires, Bairstow was given a run-out in an unusual way against Australia at Lord’s when he ducked a bouncer from Cameron Green and instantly got up & marked his guard and walked towards Ben Stokes, Alex Carey, the wicketkeeper of Australia, realising that the Englishman had left his crease in a hurry threw the ball and stumps down him to which Baritow got stunned and he was given out by the third umpire.
Simon Taufel (former ICC umpire) Said:
“Correct decision made. They (England) just didn’t like it. For that ball to be considered dead after the over or even after the delivery, both sides need to disregard it is in play. Clearly, the fielding side hadn’t,” Taufel said while talking to ABC Sydney Mornings.
