India Female dropped to Australia Ladies by 5 runs in the Female’s T20 World Mug 2023 semi-final in Cape Town on Thursday, February 23. The Ladies in Blue were horrible on the area, putting down catches of Beth Mooney along with Meg Lanning, both of whom took place to upset India.
Talking to the news agency PTI a day after India’s semi-final loss, India Female’s tale Edulji was very important of the team. Alloting at the health and fitness normal of the Females in Blue, she stated:
” I found the U-19 team much fitter than the seniors. They really did not choke in the last. From 2017 to 2023, it is the same old story (for the elderly team). The BCCI has to have a proper evaluation of players’ fitness. The yo-yo examination is a bit difficult for ladies.
” Out of 15, 12 will fail that examination, but you have various requirements for them for appropriate physical fitness criteria. Right now, there is no accountability on that front.”
The 67-year-old enhanced that the Indian group calls for an overhaul in regards to planning, prep work, and also fitness. Clapping the “star society” in the Indian team, Edulji added:
” They need to improve fitness, first of all, their fielding, capturing, running between the wickets. Unless you have stamina in the legs, you will not be able to run. They need absolute danda (BCCI should crack the whip) to reach the top. You are obtaining whatever from the BCCI, including equal pay.
” Every time you shed a gaining video game, it is a practice. BCCI has to take a solid call and also not succumb to the demands of the gamers. Have an appropriate approach for the future. We have had enough of this celebrity culture. It is not going to function like this.”
That’s that from our semi-final game.
Australia win by 5 runs.
