India W and Bangladesh W had to share the trophy as the 3-match series was levelled 1-1 where Bangladesh W won 1 match and India W won 1 match and the last match ended as a tie. There was no super-overplay as the umpire declared that the scheduled time to play the match was over. Earlier Umpire had given Harmanpreet Kaur LBW out, She didn’t look satisfied with the decision as she said the ball was hit by the bat first, and out of anger she hit the stumps with her bat.
Former Indian Cricketer and skipper Anjum Chopra criticised India Harmanpreet Kaur and said “Harmanpreet Kaur should have been careful with her actions.” “There’s no harm in voicing your displeasure, but it’s how and when you do it. She should’ve been more selective with her choice of words too,”.
ICC’s Action against Harmanpreet Kaur:
As per the Reports, ICC has fined India women’s skipper Harmanpreet Kaur 50% of her match fee for smashing the stump with the bat and 25% for her behaviour during the third and final ODI against Bangladesh, and also demerit points to her record.
