The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Wednesday shared a picture of Bollywood Superstar Shah Rukh Khan with the ODI World Cup trophy and captioned it as “King Khan #CWC23 Trophy It’s nearly here …” on their official Twitter handle.

The ICC and the Board of Control for Cricket (BCCI) have together started a new campaign ahead of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023. ICC also shared a video of their campaign in their official website featuring Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan giving his voice and appearance and other cricket stars like JP Duminy, Shubman Gill, Dinesh Karthik, Eoin Morgan, Muttiah Muralitharan, Jonty Rhodes and Jemimah Rodrigues, ICC kept the campaign name as “It Takes One Day”. The World Cup will start from October 5 with the defending champion England taking on New Zealand at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

ICC CEO Geoff Allardice Said:
“This campaign is a true celebration of One Day International cricket and builds a sense of anticipation of what we can expect when the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 returns to India. The emotions, or Navarasa, are felt by fans and players alike during One Day and this campaign brings to life that shared experience,” Allardice said.
