Former Indian player Mohammad Kaif has brought a cheeky dig at the beleaguered Australian team after the hosts ultimately beat them in Nagpur by an inning and 132 runs in the primary Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
In the accretion to the Test match, the Aussies had secured national cricketer Mahesh Pithiya in their nets as he had a bowling action equal to that of Ravichandran Ashwin. Although, Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja smashed the back of the opposition’s batting in the Nagpur Test.
Mohammad Kaif secondarily took a dig at the Twitter visitors, hoping they would be prepared for Ashwin by practicing against an individual with a similar action. He also explored them by requesting them to find a Ravindra Jadeja clone before the next match.
Here you can see what he tweeted:
“Australia now know the difference between facing duplicate Ashwin and real Ashwin. You can’t prepare to face one of all-time great by facing a young first-class player. Hope they not searching for a Jadeja duplicate in Delhi.”

Australia’s capitulation in the 2nd innings was meek.
India was absolutely ahead on Day 3 when they secured 400 runs to take a lead of 223 runs. Many felt that the hosts had likely batted Australia out of the match. Although, how the visitors tumbled in just one session was something no one else could see coming.
But for Steve Smith, no other batter from the visitors could show any patience or application as Ashwin and Jadeja ran riot in the 2nd session on Day 3. The Aussies were bowled out for just 91, their most subordinate total in India.
