The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the squad for the Indian team for the Asia Cup 2022. Big changes were made in the squad as expected. KL Rahul has been added to the squad as the vice-captain of the team as he has recovered from the injury that kept him out of the team for quite some time.
Former Indian captain Virat Kohli will also be seen wearing the blue jersey in the Asian mega fest after a break. Rohit Sharma would be leading the Men in Blue in the mega event which is all set to commence in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on August 27 this year.

The Central board on Monday, announced India’s squad for this year’s Asia Cup. Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the squad due to a back injury. He joined Harshal Patel in the list of injured players not available for selection. Rishabh Pant and Dinesh Karthik are the two wicketkeepers in the squad.
Shreyas Iyer, Axar Patel and Deepak Chahar were named the players as standbys.
