Mumbai Indians have continued their grip on the peak of the IPL list, right now for their work off the pitch. The 2020 IPL winners registered the highest brand value in from last year’s tournament, having appreciated a 7.1% rise in their brand value.
According to valuation agency Brand Finance, Mumbai Indians were the only prime IPL team to enjoy an expansion in 2020. Currently valued at $70.3 million. All the other franchises saw a drop in their brand values, with CSK lasting the biggest drop, followed by Rajasthan Royals.
In a report, the Mumbai Indians claimed: “This year’s IPL has been one of the most successful years for us on and off-the-field and we, at Mumbai Indians, embrace it with a lot of gratitude. We take a lot of pride in how we have nurtured brand Mumbai Indians over the years balancing our core values and ethos and replicating them in our brand-building initiatives.”

Because of a 20.6% reduction in their Brand value, CSK has now dropped to second place seat Mumbai Indians in the brand values charts Kolkata Knight Riders have also dropped a down place and are third, and then Sunrisers Hyderabad.
2020 IPL finalists Delhi Capitals are 5th, with Royal Challengers Bangalore came in at 6th. Kings XI Punjab has risen one place to 7th, with Rajasthan Royals at the bottom of this table also.
The IPL, as an entire, saw a 22% go down in business value, and now has a valuation of $4.4 billion.
The 2020 IPL was late because of COVID-19 pandemic. Rather of India, the tournament was held in the UAE from September to November. Mumbai Indians beat the Delhi Capitals in the final of the tournament to win their 5th IPL term.
