In what will come as a huge blow for IPL 2021, New Zealand players are probably to miss the league if it gets rescheduled for September. The news comes in the following days ECB Director of Cricket Ashley Giles confirmed that English players are unlikely to be possible if IPL 2021 takes place end of the year.
The BCCI is considering a September window to play the remaining IPL 2021 games. There are few spare weeks between the India vs England Test series and the beginning of the T20 World Cup. Despite the venue is yet to be finalized, many reports recommend the BCCI is looking into the probability of holding IPL 2021 during the previously mentioned window.

As per the reports, a rescheduled IPL 2021 will have to be held without New Zealand players. This is because New Zealand is scheduled to play 3 ODIs and 3 T20Is against Pakistan in the UAE set to the same time period. With the white-ball series scheduled for September under the Future Tours Programme (FTP), New Zealand Cricket is not in a situation to cancel or displace the series.
The Pakistan series will also provide a final opportunity for Kiwi players to play together just before the T20 World Cup in October-November. Isolate limitations, along with the likely pull of playing T20 cricket in a region where the T20 World Cup may is set to take place, will in all probability lead to New Zealand players missing the rescheduled IPL.

One of the teams that will face a huge blow if New Zealand players choose out of IPL 2021 is the Sunrisers Hyderabad. The franchise named Kane Williamson as their skipper and will have to make do without their caption if New Zealand stars lose the IPL 2021.
Trent Boult’s absence will also be difficult for the Mumbai Indians (MI), with the speedster being MI’s 2nd-highest wicket-taker this season.
