BCCI announced on Tuesday Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 mega auction will take place in Bengaluru, India, on February 12 and 13. During the 2-day IPL mega auction, five hundred ninety cricketers are set to go under the hammer. It will be the 15th season of the IPL, and some of the greatest stars of world cricket will be coming together to light up the prestigious tournament.

The Player Auction list is out with a total of 590 cricketers set to go under the hammer during the two-day mega auction which will take place in Bengaluru on February 12 and 13, 2022.

Of 590 players registered for the auction, 228 are hooded players, 355 are uncapped players, and seven belong to Associate Nations. A total of 370 Indian performers and 220 overseas players will be up for taking. There will be 47 performers from Australia – the most among all overseas nations – ensued by West Indies (34) and South Africa (33).
“A fierce battle to acquire the bits of help of some of the greatest Indian cricketing talent is on the cards when the likes of Deepak Chahar, Ishant Sharma, Washington Sundar, Umesh Yadav, Shreyas Iyer, Shikhar Dhawan, R Ashwin, Mohammad Shami, Ishan Kishan, Ajinkya Rahane, Suresh Raina, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Shardul Thakur, etc. go under the hammer.
“The 10 IPL franchisees – Chennai Super Kings, Punjab Kings, Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Delhi Capitals, Kolkata Knight Riders, Lucknow Super Giants, Mumbai Indians, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Team Ahmedabad will also be bidding to have some of the biggest cricketing names – Faf du Plessis, Quinton de Kock, Jonny Bairstow, Jason Holder, Dwayne Bravo, David Warner, Pat Cummins, Kagiso Rabada, Trent Boult, Shakib Al Hasan, and Wanindu Hasaranga, etc. – in their team,” IPL said in the statement.
The highest reserve price is INR 2 crore, and as many as 48 players have chosen to place themselves in this group.
INR 1.5 crore with a reserve price for 20 performers on the auction list, while 34 players are cricketers with INR 1 crore reserve price.
