Juhi Chawla made her debut in the Hindi film industry with the film Sultanat in 1986, which was not successful at the box office. Her next film, Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, released in 1988, opposite Aamir Khan, was a huge success and catapulted her to fame. She won the Filmfare Best Female Debut Award for her performance in the film.
