The first round of the 2020-21 Vijay Hazare Trophy came to a close on Monday, with teams study their quarter-final chance.
Gujarat, Andhra, Karnataka, Mumbai and Saurashtra capable of the quarter-final of the Vijay Hazare Trophy as Elite team winners. Andhra was one of the four teams to end their Elite Group B engagements with 12 points, but their excellent net run-rate (0.732) saw them close Tamil Nadu, Jharkhand and Madhya Pradesh.
The five is joined in the final eight by Uttar Pradesh and Kerala, as the 2 teams are done with the most points and best net run rate of all Select group teams.
The final position in the Vijay Hazare Trophy quarter-final is still stood for the catch, with the winner of the game separating Delhi and Uttarakhand to entire the last eight lineups. Uttarakhand piped Assam to qualify for the pre-quarterfinal owing to a greater net run rate.

This year’s version of the Vijay Hazare Trophy has been seen by the different angle the table-toppers from each Elite team make the quarter-finals.
Gujarat topped Elite Group A with 20 points and are there are only one of two Elite group teams to keep unconquered in the Vijay Hazare Trophy this season.
Andhra (12 points) and Karnataka (16 points) joined Gujarat from different Elite Group B and C, accordingly. Mumbai, the Elite Group D winners, are the other unconquered team in the group with 20 points.
Uttar Pradesh and Kerala undergo as the teams with the most points (16 points apiece) out of all the teams in the Vijay Hazare Trophy outstanding to their superior net run rate (NRR). Baroda closely missed out, as their NRR of 0.399 was slightly less than that of Delhi (0.507)
The concluding quarter-final spot in this season’s Vijay Hazare Trophy will be settled after Delhi, who done second in Elite Group D, take on Plate Group table-toppers Uttarakhand. Even though Delhi goes into the game as the favourites, Uttarakhand is yet to lose a game in the tournament this season.
