Sri Lankan Left-Handed batsman Lahiru Thirimanne has announced his retirement from international cricket. The 34-year-old made his debut for Sri Lanka against India on 5th January 2010. The Sri Lanka Cricket’s Executive Committee accepted the resignation of Lahiru Thirimanne from playing all forms of International Cricket.

T20 Career
He made his T20I debut against Pakistan at Hambantota on 1st June 2012, he has played 26 matches and has scored 291 runs in 20 innings, he played his last T20I match against South Africa at Delhi on 28th March 2016.
ODI Career
He has played 127 ODI matches and has scored 3194 runs in 106 innings, he played his last match against Pakistan at Karachi on 2nd October 2019.
Test Career
He made his test debut against England at Southampton on 16 – 20 June 2011, he has played 44 matches and has scored 2088 runs in 85 innings, he played his last match against India at Bengaluru on 12 – 14 March 2022.
