Pakistan overtakes India to capture the top of the ICC World Test Championship standings after India draws in the second Test against the West Indies in Trinidad.
The final day of the Trinidad test was completely washed out by the rain and India had to settle for a draw with the Caribbeans, India set a target of 364 runs for West Indies to chase on the 4th day of the play, Chasing the target West Indies scored 76/2 till the 4th day play, further the match couldn’t start on the 5th day due to the rain an the match was declared drawn by the match officials.
On the other side, Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka by four wickets in Galle International Stadium, Chasing the target of 130 runs by Sri Lanka, Pakistan achieved the target 133/6 to capture the top spot of the standings, this gave Pakistan a perfect start to their campaign.
India is in the 2nd Spot of the standings while Australia and England are in the 3rd and 4th positions. Both Australia and England have registered a defeat while India is yet to register a defeat.
