Indian skipper Rohit Sharma on Thursday has become the fifth-highest run-scorer for India in an International match. Rohit broke the record when he scored 80 off 143 balls against West Indies on Thursday on day 1 of the 2nd test in Queen’s Park Oval, West Indies. The 36-year-old has scored 17,298 runs in 443 International matches so far and overtook the record of Former Captain MS Dhoni having 17092 runs in 523 International matches. He is behind Sachin Tendulkar with 34,357 runs in 664 International matches followed by Virat Kohli with 25548 runs in 500 International Matches, Rahul Dravid with 24064 runs in 504 matches and Sourav Ganguly with 18433 runs in 421 matches.
Virat Kohli on Thursday became the fourth Indian player to play 500 international matches in his career, He is behind Sachin Tendulkar who has played 664 Matches and is on the top of the list followed by MS Dhoni who has played 538 matches, while Rahul Dravid has played 509 Matches in their international carrer.
