Shadab Khan has been out of the first T20I series in New Zealand due to A left-thigh injury that has prevailed, the leg-spinning allrounder who led Pakistan to a 2-1 defeat in the, out of the first Test, starting December 26 in Mount Maunganui. Left-arm spinner Zafar Gohar has been called from Pakistan to fill the squad to fill in.
Shadab had missed the home white-ball series faced from Zimbabwe in October-November with a batten injury but he still had back in time for the New Zealand journey.
The problem got strong during a tour game in Christchurch, but he was removed to lead Pakistan in the T20Is after Babar Azam picked up a finger injury, which will keep him – along with Imam-ul-Haq, who has a riff injury and out of the first Test further.

The Pakistan Cricket Board has cleared that the allrounder complained about the pain in his left thigh and the initial assessment is that he won’t be available for selection for at least 7 additional days. He will have scans in Tauranga on Thursday to decide on the recovery and recovery time.
Gohar, at the same time, has already joined the Test side, tour in from Hamilton, where he was getting ready for the field Shaheens’ T20 against the Northern Chevaliers on Sunday.
He was added to the tour party after a very useful 2019-20 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, where he was the third-best successful bowler with 38 wickets, including five 4-wicket hauls and one 5-wicket haul form Central Punjab.
Gohar, 25, made his international debut in an ODI in 2015, in England, but unluckily hasn’t played for his country.
He was getting ready when he playtests the series in the UAE against England for a Test debut when just 20, back in 2016.
But still, he is coming after being named up to replace the injured Yasir Shah. He has an amazing player experience so far taken 144 wickets in 39 matches, at an average of 28.56.
