Sune Luus will lead the 18 member Squad of the South Africa Women’s Team. She will be replacing Injured Dane van Neikert for the Upcoming matches against Pakistan Women’s. This will be South Africa’s first tour to another country after their semi-final appearance at the T20 World Cup.
The 18 members do not include Allrounder Chloe Tyron and a covid-positive player whose name is not listed yet. Marizanne Kapp, who was hospitalized with an elevated heart rate during the WBBL now was named in 18 members squad after staining full fitness.

South Africa’s Home Series against Australia and their tours to West Indies and England was canceled last year due to the Covid-19 Pandemic and the team didn’t play any matches since then.
Luus is an experienced player and she has leading skills she leads South Africa in 10 ODI 9 T20I matches till now. The Selected squad also includes several young and Inexperienced players like Nondumiso Shangase, Nonkululeko Mlaba, and Anne bosch who didn’t play international matches for more than 10.
“I’m excited about this group we have selected, and the players have a great opportunity to continue with the great strides they have made at this level and also opportunities to the young ones,” head coach Hilton Morang said.
“Many in the squad have international experience including our captain Sune who has to lead us with composure in the past and hopefully will do likewise on this tour. There are several talented youngsters who show exciting potential and giving some of them an opening will not only increase the squad’s depth but increase competition for places.”

All Of the matches will be played at Kingsmead, with the first ODI scheduled to begin on January 20.
