Former Zimbabwe Cricketer Heath Streak has taken back the post mentioning his friend Heath Streak’s Demise and said “He is very much Alive”.
Earlier Henry Olonga posted about his teammate’s demise and wrote:
“Sad news coming through that Heath Streak has crossed to the other side. RIP @ZimCricketv legend. The greatest all-rounder we produced. It was a pleasure playing with you. See you on the other side when my bowling spell comes to an end,”.
After having a conversation with Streak, Olonga reversed his decision sharing a screenshot of his conversation with Streak he wrote:
“I can confirm that rumours of the demise of Heath Streak have been greatly exaggerated. I just heard from him. The third umpire has called him back. He is very much alive folks,” Olonga wrote on X.
Current Zimbabwe captain Sean Williams also wrote about Streak’s demise and paid his condolences, Many cricketers like VVS Laxman, Ravichandran Ashwin, Virender Sehwag, Anil Kumble and Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Mumbai Indians too paid their condolences.

ODI Career
Streak made his ODI debut against South Africa at Bangalore on 10th November 1993, he has played 189 matches and has scored 2943 runs in 159 innings and taken 239 wickets in 185 innings, The former captain played his last T20I match against New Zealand at Harare on 31st August 2005.
Test Career
The all-rounder made his test debut against Pakistan at Karachi on 1st June 1993, he has played 65 matches and has scored 1990 runs in107 innings and taken 216 wickets in 102 innings, The legend played his last match against India at Harare on 20 – 22 September 2005.
He is the all-time highest wicket-taker in both Tests and ODIs for Zimbabwe.
