The Afghanistan cricket team was warmly welcomed in Kerala on their arrival for the upcoming 2023 Cricket World Cup. The team was received by a large crowd of fans at the Kochi International Airport, who cheered and waved flags as the players arrived.
The Afghanistan team is scheduled to play two warm-up matches in Kerala, against Australia and South Africa, before heading to Dharamsala for their first World Cup match against England on October 7.
The team’s captain, Rashid Khan, thanked the Kerala government and the people of Kerala for their warm welcome. He said that the team was excited to be in Kerala and was looking forward to playing the warm-up matches.
