Pakistan Cricketer wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan has uploaded an insightful picture from their dressing room after an excellent 4-wicket victory over Sri Lanka in Galle on Wednesday.
Riding on a successful century from Abdullah Shafique, Pakistan secured 342 runs. After being decreased to 104/2, Shafique and Babar Azam tacked together a 101-run partnership to consolidate the innings. Shafique, who had played only 5 Tests before the start of the Galle Test, continued unbeaten on 160 to take the team home.
After the impressive win, Rizwan shared on Twitter their team planning from Day 3. He also credits the help staff for having belief in the team.
He captioned the post:

With this victory, Pakistan has climbed to 3rd place on the World Test Championship standings, strengthening their opportunity of appearing in the upcoming year’s final. They have a win-loss percentage of 58.33.

Babar, who guided the team from the front with a century and a 50, affirmed that they were confident of chasing down the purpose, given that they are good performers of spin bowling.
Speaking at the after-match presentation ceremony, Babar said:
“We know how to play spin so we believed. Me and Abdullah were just trying to build a partnership. As a youngster, he is showing a lot of class. Really pleased to see him perform well.”
The 2nd Test of the 2-match series will commence on July 24, 2022, at the Galle International Stadium, Galle.
