Former South African star fast bowler Dale Steyn has been appointed as bowling coach of the Washington Freedom cricket team.
“We are very happy with the squad we have assembled so far. Moises and Greg have a history of winning championships together at the Sydney Sixers. It is important to build that winning culture around a young franchise right from the offset. Also delighted to have the legend Dale Steyn on board with us. The idea of having such a figure on American shores spending time with some of the youngsters on the squad is truly exciting”, said Sanjay Govil, owner of Washington Freedom.

Stein has vast knowledge and experience in cricket which will help the team’s youngsters to learn and execute those in the upcoming leagues, aspiring bowlers will be able to make great use of the knowledge and skills he has. It will be a great opportunity for Steyn also to coach the youngsters and pass on the skills and experience he has learnt throughout his cricketing career.
