Just before the 2023 IPL season, Dream11 launched a UPI app and its parent company Dream Sports.
The name of this UPI app is DreamX, mainly to expand the user’s ability to spend their winning from the platform.
The IPL tournament is typically crucial for the fantasy sports platform as they get peak usage from players which also helps them grow their respective base.
With this app, Dream Sports will be a severe competition to PhonePe, Google Pay and Paytm.
The DreamX app will be linked to the user’s Dream11 account. Dream11 currently has over 160 million active users as of December 2022, making it already a vast customer base for DreamX.
DreamX is slightly different from other UPI apps, and these apps are just used for payment purposes and can be signed in individually, however, for the DreamX app, the user will have to use their Dream11 id, and only then can they join the platform.
“DreamX is a FinTech from the house of Dream Sports, India’s leading Sports Technology company with brands like Dream11, Dream Capital, FanCode & DreamSetGo in its portfolio. It is currently in the beta phase and limited to our current set of users.”
said the Dream Sports spoke person in his statement
