    Tokyo Olympics Javelin champion Neeraj Chopra on Sunday became the Javelin World champion at the World Athletics Championships 2023 in Budapest, The 25 year old threw of 88.17 metres and secured the gold medal, The Olympic champion started with a foul but then got 88.17m, 86.32m, 84.64m, 87.73m and 83.98m, Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem finished with a silver medal with 87.82m in while Czech Republic’s Jakub Vadlejch took bronze with 86.67m.

    Neeraj Chopra said:

    “I want to thank the people of India for staying up late. This medal is for all of India. I’m the Olympic champion now I’m the world champion. Keep working hard in different fields.
