The most awaited match between the archrivals India and Pakistan has been rescheduled to October 14, Earlier the match was scheduled on 15th October 2023 but due to the opening day of Navratri celebrations in Ahmedabad the match has been rescheduled, The local authorities had earlier requested the BCCI to reconsider the dates and told it would be very difficult for them to manage the fans and the local public simultaneously also it will be a great challenge for the Ahmedabad police concerning security. Some more changes are yet to be made and the changed fixture will soon be released by the ICC.
Earlier, The BCCI called a meeting regarding the finalization of the dates on July 27.
“Since October 15 coincides with the opening day of Navratri celebrations, the security agencies have advised that the big game, which will also need heavy deployment of security officials, should be rescheduled,” a BCCI source told PTI.
