Sharma was accompanied by his teammates, including Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, and Hardik Pandya. The team was received by a large number of fans at the airport. Speaking to the media after his arrival, Sharma said that he was excited to be back in Thiruvananthapuram. He said that the team was looking forward to the warm-up match against the Netherlands.
