Mayank Markande, at INR 50 Lakh, finds SRH as lone bidders so he’s sold for his base price.

Mujeeb ur Rahman, at a base price of 1 Crore, remains unsold.

Tabraiz Shamsi, with a base price of 1 Crore, unsold.

Adam Zampa goes unsold.

Akeal Hosein is up next, and he goes unsold.

Adil Rashid, at a base price of 2 Crore, gets sold to SRH at his base price.

 

Its time for Capped Spinners

Ishant Sharma is up next, at 50 Lakh, and DC bid for him and they are the only bidders.

Jhye Richardson, with a base price of 1.5 Crore, goes at his base price to MI.

Adam Milne remains unsold.

Jaydev Unadkat, at a base price of 50 Lakh, and LSG get him for that much.

Reece Topley, at a base price of 75 Lakh, gets a bid from MI. CSK is also interested as the bids cross 1 Crore. RCB bags Topley for INR 1.9 Crore.

Chris Jordan is first up in this set, and he goes unsold.

So, this time we have Capped Pace bowlers.

Yet again, the auction continues to surprise us as LSG goes for as much as 16 crores to add Pooran to their side.

With intense bidding from CSK, RR, MI and then later LSG, the team to finally buy the player is PBKS for a whopping 18.50 Crores INR, the highest ever in an IPL auction.  

First up, we have Shakib-Al-Hasan, who goes unsold at his base price of 1.5 Crores INR.

So, the second set begins which will have Capped All-Rounders.

 

Rilee Rossouw, from South Africa is the proceeding player, at a base price of INR 2 Crore. And he goes unsold as of now.

Joe Root is the next player, and the England batsman remains unsold.

Ajinkya Rahane is next, at a base price of INR 50 Lakh. CSK make the first bid, and bags the deal as they are the only bid.

Indian batsman Mayank Agarwal has been called out and the player with the base price of INR 2 Crores has been finally sold to SRH for 8.25 Crores INR 

 

Next up, we have Harry Brook, the English batsman who has bagged a massive deal for the IPL 2023. After an intense bidding session between SRH , RR and RCB, the Hyderabad based franchise has finally bagged the player for a whopping 13.25 Crores INR!

This year’s auctioneer Hugh Edmeades begins the opening set, which is capped batsmen. The first player in the auction is the Kiwi skipper Kane Williamson, at a base price of INR 2 Crore. Gujarat Titans start with the bid. And they buy the New Zealander at his base price.

IPL chairman Arun Dhumal has begun with his opening speech. We are set to begin shortly.

Welcome to one of the most awaited moments of the year. The IPL Auction 2023 which will begin shortly and the teams will once again contest to get the best squads out of the purse they still have after retaining their best options.

The IPL 2023 Auction will feature 405 players, of which 273 are Indians and 132 are foreign players (including four from Associate countries). However, with a squad limit of 25 players, only a maximum of 87 cricketers can earn IPL contracts, of which 30 may be overseas.
