Morne Morkel Full Biography

The 6’5″ tall right-arm fast bowler named Morne Morkel is known for his deadly bouncers. Morne Morkel was the Backbone of South African bowling for over a decade alongside Dale Steyn and Vernon philander. He made his first-class debut in season 2003 2004 against West Indies at the age of 19 but he was unable to impress as he bowls 17 no balls in his 5 over spell. But over the years he focused more on white-ball cricket and that’s the reason he was named as 12th man in the ‘Team of the Tournament’ by Cricinfo for the 2007 T20I World Cup.

After the impressive domestic outings with the ball, he was awarded a Test cap when he made his Test debut against India in 2006 at Durban, South Africa. A year after he made his ODI debut against Asia XI and T20I debut against West Indies in 2007. Apart from International cricket, he had played franchise cricket across the globe. He had played a major role in the KKR winning campaign in IPL and he had played a major part in IPL during his career. He took retirement in 2018 and had married to the sports journalist and now a days he is living in Australia and he had the citizenship of Australia.
